Abstract

The course of “Lighting” integrates the relevant methodological knowledge that must be taken into account in an interior design project, so that students acquire the theoretical and technological knowledge necessary for the functionality of the space and for highlighting lighting as a key variable of the design. In addition, the course includes: The steps of an interior lighting study, the use of energy and building regulations, the use of a simulation program (RELUX), human centric lighting issues and the role of lighting in creating emotions in the context of a human-centered design. 

Participants will be able to: 

To recognize the objectives of a lighting study 

To define the requirements in the context of a human-centric application 

Apply the regulations (at an energy, sustainability and human- centric level) to a lighting study 

Use a lighting simulation program (RELUX)
