Abstract
In this class, students are taught:
- To understand and apply specifications and requirements for sound insulation of buildings and the relevant Greek regulations.
- To assess and calculate sound insulation capacity of existing spaces and buildings.
- To combine conception of sound insulation projects and architectural design.
- To understand and apply acoustic design specifications and requirements.
- To evaluate and calculate acoustic quality of existing interiors.
- To combine conception of acoustic design/correction projects and architectural design.
- To use special software for assessment, calculations and projects of acoustic design.
- To apply methods of analysis, evaluation and highlighting of acoustic-sound quality of outdoor spaces and soundscapes.
Students are evaluated on the basis of their consistent attendance in class and of the quality of their projects.
