Klonizakis Aristeidis

Aris M. Klonizakis, born in Athens Greece, studied Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and since 2000 he is a member of Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE). In 2002 he was specialised in Lighting Design at the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies in University College London (UCL) in UK. Since then, his studio deals with the integration of Architecture and Lighting Design as essential spatial qualities during the conception and the construction of every project. Individually and in collaboration with the greatest Architectural Firms, his office takes part in the design process (lighting-architecture) of a great variety of private and public building complexes and outdoor spaces; Especially in Lighting domain his studio accomplished innovative and interesting -public and private- projects specialised in Façade and Landscape lighting (Cosmote headquarters-interior, exterior and landscape lighting proposal 2011 / Illumination of Paramana Square-the central Square of Thermi 2004/ Façade and Exterior space lighting in IASO Hospital in Larissa 2008 and Athens Eye Clinic 2010 / Architectural Design and Lighting in two Villas in Penteli 2011-2012/ Outdoor lighting of Hotels in Heraklion Crete and Chalkidiki 2010 / Outdoor Lighting projects in Astir Palace, Athens 2010. Additionally, projects include participations in International Architectural and Design Competitions and Exhibitions (projects awarded and shortlisted such as Rethink Athens 2013, The redesign of Ag.Sofia Axe in Thessaloniki 2012).Since 2004 he teaches Lighting, Architecture and Landscape Design in Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Interior Architecture, Decoration and Design.
